BiosJOHN HARLACHER (Writer, Director, and Producer) was born in Brooklyn, and Urchin is his first film. He directed Cats Can See The Devil for the Horse Trade Theater Company and makes his living as an actor. DAVID SOLOMON RODRÍGUEZ (Executive Producer) is the owner and creator of 2 Cities Productions, LLC. Since its creation in 2004, along side Urchin, David has created and produced three original theatrical productions; El Sartén, Scotch & Poison, and Fata Morgana. LUKE LEONARD (Director of Photography) lives and works in NYC. He is an actor, playwright, director, and video+filmmaker. Luke studied acting & directing with Joseph Chaikin and briefly with Anne Bogart. He is Artistic Director of DTX (a New York-based theatre company). DAVE BUCHWALD (Editor) is native to Brooklyn; is passionate about film, photography, words, dogs and Mo. Is Urchin his first feature film after completing his training at NYU? SEBASTIAN MONTOYA (The Kid) Makes his film debut in Urchin. He attends the One World Charter School in queens where he is in the fifth grade. RICK POLI (Goliath) has been in many independent features including "Talk To Me", "5 Dead on A Crimson Canvas", "In To You Die", and "Hell's Bells". Rick also has a re-occurring role with Gilbert Gottfried on U.S.A. at Night. LARRY SWANSEN (Old Man), actor and playwright, has been in several Broadway shows including The King and I. His favorite roles include “Scrooge” and “George” in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. He is currently a part of the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. DONALD SILVA (Tom) is originally from Massachusetts, where he graduated from Brandeis University. He has worked as both actor and producer in New York City for more than 20 years. BARBARA KING (Angela) has had guest starring roles on "Law & Order", "Law & Order SVU", "All My Children" and "As the World Turns", as well as lead roles in several award-winning independent films. She has a BFA in acting from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. GATES LOREN LEONARD (Julia) began her acting career at the age of 2 as Julia in the film Urchin. She recently wrapped her second film project, Antiquated Play, written and directed by her father, Luke. |
